Grandma Mather's Strawberry Pie

1 cup crushed strawberries
3/4 cup water
red food coloring

simmer for 5 minutes

mix together 1 cup sugar and 4T cornstarch. When mixed, stir into top mixture and boil one minute, stirring constantly.

Take off heat and add 1T lemon juice. Cool and then pour a little in bottom pie crust, add sliced fresh strawberries to fill up pie tin. Pour remaining sauce on top. Chill.

YUM YUM YUM... this is my sister-in-law's husbands grandma's pie recipe, did you get all that? It's just plain yummy. I only had like a drop of food coloring in the pantry so the pie was a little light pink, but I don't really care so I don't think that it's really necessary. While there I asked "Do you use a store bought crust?" to which my brother-in-law replied "No we make it, do you need a recipe? I have a good one and it's super easy" I thought okay, if my brother-in-law can make pie crust so can I... so read on for that recipe.
